WINTERSONG will be screened at the international documentary festival Amsterdam www.idfa.nl. We don't know the exact screening time yet.
The festival starts on the 23rd of November and ends on the f3rd of December. We will be in Amsterdam from the 23rd to the 27th of November. The film will probably be shown in that period of time.
Glitterhouse Records will release WINTERSONG as an extra DVD to the upcoming record of Dakota Suite called «waiting for the dawn to crawl through and take away your life». We are back from Nyon. Once again «visions du réel» was a great festival and offered a lot of good documentaries to explore. The Jury of the «Cinéma Suisse» Section decided to give a special mention to WINTERSONG. It was a great honour to show our film at «visions du réel» and to receive this award. Thank you.
Special mention: With large sensitivity the young directors Benny Jaberg and Pascal Hofmann introduce us to the creative universe of Chris Hooson, singer and songwriter of the English Band Dakota Suite. The way in which they emphasize the music and poetry allows the audience a real insight into the creative process of an anguished but extremely inspired author. On the evidence of this school film, we can forecast a promising future.

WINTERSONG will be premiered on Friday April 28, 2006 at 11.30 a.m. at the cinema «Europlex – Capitole 1 Leone» at «visions du réel» the international film festival of Nyon. The Second screening takes place on Saturday April 29, 2006 at 1.15 p.m. at the «Europlex – Capitole 2 Fellini». We’re looking forward to meeting you in Nyon. WINTERSONG will be premiered at this year’s «visions du réel» international film festival Nyon. The film will be shown in the «regard neuf» competition. We will announce detailed screening dates
as soon as they are published.
There is also news about a possible DVD release. Most likely, WINTERSONG will be added to the upcoming record by DAKOTA SUITE as a free bonus. In the upcoming weeks we will be working on that DVD. You can expect the main movie plus some selected extras (more music, interviews, deleted scenes, pictures). The release of the next DAKOTA SUITE record, including the WINTERSONG DVD, will probably be in late summer or fall this year.
